I’ll start by stating the obvious: it’s been a busy time. But you can rightly say that these past months have also been a hectic time. A time during which many of you and your employees were asked to continue your work and service to patients despite the limitations imposed by all the coronavirus measures. In some parts of the world, we can look back on this period and distil the lessons learned to be even better prepared for the future. Other parts of the world are still in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, where we might learn from enterprising and creative pharmacists and suppliers elsewhere how to keep our service safe.

ZiuZ plays an important role in that when it comes to checking medication pouches. And we are well aware of that role and the things we have to keep in proper order. Particularly in times like these. We have made sure that our maintenance and support service can continue in order to guarantee the proper functioning of our inspection solutions. And in our purchasing chain, we have ensured the ability of our products to be delivered with the quality you expect from us. And equally as important: we do so within ZiuZ in a manner that is safe for our own employees, in a balance between working from home as much as possible and working at our locations in Gorredijk and Shanghai.

But there are also things we are unable to do or that are unable to take place. For example, all trade fairs for pharmacists have been cancelled. That includes Expopharm 2020, where we had planned to introduce our new generation of large-volume inspection machines at the start of October. We have now moved this launch to next year. But it does offer us the opportunity to add to the functionality of the machine, which can rightly be called revolutionary. It is something with which ZiuZ can take patient safety to an even higher level.

As all relevant trade fairs have been cancelled this year, you won’t be finding us there for the time-being. Therefore, we are upping the frequency of our newsletter in order to keep you informed. The background information we usually share with you in personal conversations will now be shared through video.
