ICCAM: Combating online CSAM

Cor Mulder

Marketing & Account Manager

INHOPE, a network organisation of 47 hotlines worldwide continues to combat online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Another grant is provided from the European Commission which will help support this fight for another two years.

The focus items for this period will be the following:

Statistics portal

As statistics become more and more important, a statistics portal is created where INHOPE and their members can create specific statistics for their stakeholders.

Automated takedown notice

In order to reduce the manual labour of the hotline analyst, ZiuZ will create a mechanism where it is checked automatically whether the content has been taken offline after reporting to the local law enforcement agency and the Internet Service Provider.

Hotline needs

Based upon the requests of the hotlines, there will be changes to the ICCAM system which will help in the daily use of the ICCAM system.

Classifier

In order to help the analyst prioritize, a classifier will be included in ICCAM which will support in predicting whether a picture is or is not illegal while keeping the human in control.

ZiuZ also participated in a Focus Group on the Safer Internet Day on the 11th of February 2020 by INHOPE and the European Commission where this topic was addressed with several organisations within the field of combating CSAM.
