The world lost a remarkable man and ZiuZ lost its co-founder. Unexpectedly in his beloved Bali, Ed van den Brand died at the age of 62.

Ed co-founded our company twenty years ago and retired only three years ago. We will remember him as a computer vision technology enthusiast who stimulated us to look for practical use cases through R&D, the initiator of the company processes improvements, an inspiring advisor to our management team and, lastly, as our former CTO and shareholder.

Ed embodied the customer promise of our company: determined to make a difference! A bit stubborn, always in for a joke and always challenging our people to go the extra mile to explore new market opportunities. ZiuZ has a lot to be thankful for to Ed.

We wish his wife Brenda and his daughters Annick and Tessa the strength to cope with this loss.
